Reactional Hair Loss is caused by different factors, including physical stress, emotional stress, crash dieting, severe illness, childbirth, and medical conditions. It usually happens on the top of the scalp, appearing as thinning hair.
Typically, there is disruption in the normal hair growth cycle. For people with Reactional Hair Loss, the hair follicles enter a premature resting phase, resulting in increased shedding.
Another major cause is stress. Whether it is emotional or physical, stress can trigger hair loss. Even if you do not have the hair loss disease present in your genes, when stress gets in the way of your life, you will begin to lose hair. Unfortunately people with hair loss genes are more likely to experience hair loss if they’re under stress. This effect applies to both men and women.
Low blood pressure, anemia and thyroid disorders are also of loss of hair which leads to Reactional Hair Loss as well.
