    WHAT CAUSES PREMATURE GREY HAIR?

    There is no clear reason as to why people go grey early. Much of the cause is believed to be genetic, but certain factors like stress, vitamin B-12 deficiencies, or hormonal imbalances in the pituitary and thyroid glands are also said to be connected to greying early.

In the case of premature greying, stress affects the stem cells in the hair that turn into melanocytes, thus new hair will not have the cells it needs to give it their pigment.

    While eating a well balanced diet is good for your overall health, certain foods are a must for healthier hair such as antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables like berries, and dark green leafy vegetables. You should also look into vitamin supplements that include Vitamin D, B12, E, and A.

    It has been a long myth that plucking grey hair will cause it to increase in number. However, there is no scientific research to backup these claims.
