Find out what these 6 different types of zits are trying to tell you!
Have you ever found yourself prodding at a spot that has magically surfaced overnight on the eve of an important meeting, and asking yourself: Why me?! Well now we have the answer to that, sort of. Let’s see what your spot would say if they could speak.
Right on the forehead:
It might be good to pin that fringe back every once in awhile if zits are constantly surfacing on your forehead. If you don’t have a fringe, chances are that you might be hitting the pedal maybe just slightly too hard – time to hydrate yourself adequately and turn things down a notch! Getting sufficient sleep and relaxation is the key to a clear forehead.
Between your brows:
Alright – time to tone down on those vices, no matter how tempting they can be. Smoking and drinking alcohol can cause those pesky zits to pop up in what is possibly the most obvious spot on your face. Block out the sirens’ call that is Ladies’ Night and opt for a healthy smoothie instead. Your body will thank you for it – eventually.
On your nose:
We might be approaching Christmas, but red noses are still not in style. If your nose insists on paying homage to Rudolph, you might want to rethink that diet – McDonalds and late night snacks do not make for pretty skin! Evict pimples from facial prime real estate by eating more lean meats, vegetables, and nuts. And no – french fries do not count as vegetables.
These are the most vindictive of pimples. Like a spurned lover, chin zits simply refuses to leave you alone, and come back to haunt you long after you thought you had gotten rid of them. They also have a tendency to pop up at the worst times, but that is because they are triggered by stress and hormonal imbalances. Switch off your phone and pop over to a spa for some well needed rest and relaxation.
Contrary to popular belief, pillowcases do need to be washed. Rather frequently, as a matter of fact. If pimples tend to pop up only on one side of your face, it’s time to check your linen into the wash. Pillowcases should be washed on a weekly basis, maybe biweekly if you are reaalllyyy stretching it. Don’t be cheeky when it comes to hygiene!
Along your hairline:
Fortunately, these zits have the decency to be discreet – it’s easy to hide them, but bunch your hair up into a ponytail and – yikes. Pimples along your hairline can largely be attributed to two things: improper makeup removal, or hair products plugging pores up. Remember to rinse your hairline as well when you remove your foundation and make sure to apply hair products at the end of the hair, instead of at the roots.
